(Norfolk, VA)—April 27, 2010—The American Red Cross of Southeastern Virginia will be hosting their Fourth Annual Heroes Campaign celebration "Night of the Red Cross Heroes” from 6 pm - 9 pm on May 7, 2010 at Granby Theater in Downtown Norfolk.

All Heroes, their friends, family and supporters are invited to celebrate the 2010 Campaign at this one-of-a-kind event. We will recognize Heroes and their work for the American Red Cross.  Admission includes entertainment from a live DJ and heavy Hor’Dourves. A silent auction will also be held featuring donations from local businesses.

This event is open to the public, and there will be a $15 cover charge to attend, with all proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross of Southeastern Virginia. For those unable to attend, you can make a $10 pledge by text message. Simply text HELPNOW to 95495 to support our local Red Cross today.

The Heroes Campaign is an exciting annual grassroots community fundraising campaign, where Heroes have the ability to involve family, employers or companies, churches, schools, civic clubs or professional organizations to support their fund raising efforts. Individuals or groups are recruited from our chapter area of Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach to raise a minimum of $1,000 through any legal means to support the American Red Cross.
