Running from May 7-9, 2010, The tour will showcase 16 uniquely designed kitchens in private homes in Williamsburg, the Peninsula and Southside. All proceeds from the Tour will benefit our community partners dedicated to women’s cancer research, The Junior League of Hampton Roads, Inc. and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Tidewater Affiliate.
“There are many cancers that primarily affect women. In many cases, early diagnosis improves the effectiveness of treatment. Our dream is to ensure that all women become familiar with the symptoms of female reproductive cancers,” explains Beth Doggette, president of the Junior League of Hampton Roads, Inc. “This Tour will showcase the latest in kitchen design, but, more importantly, will raise awareness of women’s cancers that in some form or fashion have touched all of us.”
The Ferguson Dream Kitchen Tour includes some of the most innovative and creative kitchens in Hampton Roads. Tour participants can view the latest in kitchen design, technology and décor exhibited in a wide variety of private homes – from creative ranch style remodels to upscale new construction. Those thinking of remodeling or building their dream kitchen can find inspiration, architectural innovation and decorating ideas throughout the tour by exploring each kitchen’s creative use of space and unique features.
