Wednesday, July 28 at 4:30 EST: The Dog Days of Summer
Join the live broadcast from the Norfolk SPCA today to learn how to make your dog more comfortable in the summer heat. If you missed the live broadcast, you can see the re-run at the Norfolk SPCA Blog.
What's Coming:
- Really Cookin!: We're lining up a slate of local restaurant chefs with their own live, cooking shows. We recently watched one of the best, Chef Richard Boone of Sonoma Wine Bar & Bistro, prepare a desert special. Chef Boone will be coming back... keep your eyes open.
- "Reality Lunch": Each day we try to webcast at a different, interesting location and with people who move our community along. If you're a not-for profit, or an active civic organization, or just a business with an interesting line of work, contact us and we'll see if we can get our team out there. You supply the pizza, we'll bring the cameras, questions and quest viewers.
Coming in July, 2010:
Every business, group or person in Hampton Roads can have their own, 24X7, live (or pre-recorded) digital TV channel here. For now, we're testing non-commercial uses on a single channel -- that’s what you see in the viewer above. [If the picture is jerky or doesn't come up, it likely means you don’t have enough bandwidth]
Over the next month you can watch short test programs -- the schedule is to the left. We’ll be showing everything from puppies at the SPCA, to horses being fed, to Mayor Fraim speaking at community functions.
Watching Connect757.com TV is FREE. However, we do require you to be a registered user. Why? Every now and then we get some knucklehead that doesn’t like playing nice and this allows us to shut them out. So register, watch what’s happening LIVE in our community, and think about what your own TV channel can mean to you. If you have something special you’d like to broadcast that others might find interesting, contact us.
